on the task at hand.
- Substantial computer experience. Every application is second nature, you don’t fumble with the
mouse and click every menu option to find what you think you know.
- Substantial QuickBooks experience. Not just knowing what’s in the book, but being able use
it as a tool to creatively solve actual business issues.
- Substantial experience with MAS90 and other middle market ERP systems.
- Substantial experience with ProSystem fx (or other high end commercial tax software).
- Excellent project management and presentation skills.
- Excellent research skills and strong written and verbal communications skills, superb grammar, spelling, and succinct communication style.
- Advanced degree in taxation.
- Certifications beyond CPA.
- You believe in pay for performance and don’t expect a substantial base salary and expect it
to climb continuously with no risk to you regardless of the health of the firm.
- You do not need work continuously fed to you – i.e. you don’t accept that there’s ever a time
when there’s “nothing to do”.
- You are willing to develop relationships with existing and new clients to add value
to their organizations.
- You like getting out of the office once in a while to meet people and develop a network of value
to the firm.
- You know public accounting is not an eight to five job.
- Desire to start and run an attest department.
Compensation & Benefits:
It’s up to you. We set productivity goals for individual team members and the firm and a minimal base salary for each team member. As long as the goals are being met, you are only limited by your efficiency, skills, desire to work, and ability to add value to the firm and our clients operations. We offer competitive benefits package including retirement plan, holidays, vacation and what you would normally expect, but if you’re looking for a comprehensive list, you probably will not fit in here.

The hiring process at The Mangold Group.
Candidates selected to begin the interview process should expect:
- Employment pre-screening to include
- A criminal background and credit check based on the information you provide in
your application
- An initial in-office pre-screening aptitude and IQ test (Allow 45 minutes for this)
- Online skills testing (Allow one to two hours)
- An initial interview appointment with our HR coordinator (Allow 30 minutes to one hour)
- A second screening to complete additional personality profiles and background and
experience and skills analysis. (Allow two hours)
- An interview with one of the partners. (Allow one hour)
- A group interview with several current team members. (Allow one hour)
- A final interview with one or more partners or managers. (Allow up to two hours)
The interview process will be stopped at any point in the process where we feel you would not be a good fit for our organization for any reason.
